Mindfully Parenting Your Baby is a 6-session group program for parents and their babies aged 3- 9 months. The program uses mindfulness and reflection to enhance attachment and the experience of parenting. We explore ways you can support your baby’s social and emotional wellbeing. Mindfully Parenting Your Baby offers a practical and warm approach to parenting an infant. It provides a set of skills to help parents stay calm, understand their baby and foster a loving secure attachment relationship. Parenting in a mindful and reflective way allows for greater joy and connection between parents and infants.
In the program:
- We teach the practical application of mindfulness in everyday with a baby – this helps you slow down, stay calm and feel connected
- We strengthen your capacity to think about your experience and your baby’s experience – this helps you understand and meet your baby’s needs, as well as your own
- We examine your baby’s needs to optimise their social and emotional development – this helps you develop into the most supportive parent you can be
Mindfully Parenting Your Baby is a community-based program designed for all parents and infants.
Mindfully Parenting Your Baby is being evaluated for its effectiveness as a face-to-face group program and also as an online group for parents. We would love to have you participate in our research.
