Perinatal Psychologist

Sarah Yassine is a registered psychologist providing telehealth services to perinatal families across Australia. Over the past 12 years, she has worked in perinatal organisations supporting individuals and families through pregnancy, early parenthood, grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship or interpersonal difficulties.

Sarah is committed to improving access to psychological care, particularly for people in regional and remote areas and those managing the practical demands of parenting, work, or caregiving responsibilities. She recognises that telehealth provides a flexible and accessible way for clients to engage in therapy from their own environment while maintaining continuity of care. She is experienced in delivering evidence-based interventions online and prioritises the development of a strong therapeutic alliance within this format.

Her clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and is informed by a broader mind–body perspective. Sarah supports clients to better understand their internal experiences, identify personal values, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful and sustainable change. She has a particular interest in the emotional and psychological transitions associated with the perinatal period.

In addition to her work as a psychologist, Sarah is also a yoga teacher, which informs her understanding of the relationship between physical and psychological wellbeing. Where appropriate, she incorporates mindfulness and nervous system awareness into her work to support emotional regulation and overall wellbeing.

Cost: $233.00 per 50-minute session *Medicare Rebate: $98.95
Out-of-pocket: $134.05 per session

*Medicare rebates are available to those who have a referral and Mental Health Care Plan from their GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician.  This must be in place prior to the first claimable session.
