Narelle is a Perinatal Psychologist, Doula and Childbirth Educator who has a special interest in working with women and their families throughout pregnancy and the early years of parenthood.

She sees women with a range of mental health concerns such as ante / postnatal depression and anxiety, ‘postpartum rage’, PTSD following childbirth or for issues relating to adjusting to their new roles. Given her experience in the birth world, clients seek her out if they are anxious about giving birth or want to explore their pregnancy / childbirth options especially when considering a VBAC.  Narelle also has a particular interest and experience in supporting women faced with infertility, pregnancy loss / stillbirth, and premature birth / NICU experiences.

Narelle provides a safe, empathetic and non-judgemental space for women to share their concerns and feel heard. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR). She tailors her treatment to the needs of her individual clients.

Narelle is also a Registered Circle of Security Parent Educator and Tuning Into Kids facilitator.

Alongside seeing clients in her role as a psychologist, Narelle has also worked as a trainer for Childbirth International. In this role she supported the education of birth workers all around the world (Childbirth International has over 8000 students in 130+ countries). But, her most important and challenging role is being mum to her three sons who know how to keep her on her toes!
