Angela Chadwick
Registered Psychologist
B.Science (Psych), Post Grad Dip Psych, Grad Dip Professional Psych
Angela is a Registered Psychologist based in Fairy Meadow (Wollongong, NSW). Her private practice offers compassionate support for perinatal mental health concerns, maternal wellbeing, and trauma recovery throughout every stage of the pregnancy-to-parenthood journey.
Angela’s main focus area is perinatal trauma and PTSD, with particular attention to fertility challenges, birth trauma, and medical trauma. Angela recognises that trauma can show up in many different ways during these life transitions, and she is committed to offering compassionate care to those navigating these experiences.
Angela has a strong interest in the use of EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) within the perinatal space and has intentionally shaped much of her professional development towards offering perinatal EMDR therapy. In addition to perinatal trauma, Angela also supports individuals navigating the emotional challenges of the perinatal period more broadly, including pregnancy difficulties, early parenting stress, and infant or child loss.
With a deep appreciation for the complexities of parenting, Angela integrates other evidence-based therapies; including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Resource Therapy (‘parts work’), with the goal of developing treatment tailored to each person’s individual needs and goals.
Angela welcomes clients from all backgrounds, including people of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities, and offers a safe, respectful, and compassionate space.
She is also committed to supporting mental health clinicians in developing their skills in perinatal EMDR, providing supervision and training to help build confidence in this area.

Mathew Aquilina
Perinatal Psychologist
BA (Psyc), PG Dip (Psyc), MPP
Mathew is a Registered Psychologist and board-approved clinical supervisor. Mathew has a keen interest in the support of fathers and the area of men’s mental health. His interest in perinatal mental health was in part influenced by his own transition to fatherhood and the fascinating, rewarding, and challenging moments that the perinatal journey brought.
Mathew is passionate about providing families and expecting parents with evidence-informed information to assist the transition to parenthood. He is an accredited Becoming Us Facilitator, and Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator. With a background in child and family psychology, Mathew has worked from an attachment-informed lens for the duration of his clinical career. He values the important role that attachment and bonding play in developing psychological wellbeing and positive relational experiences, and this informs his therapeutic style and practice.
Mathew takes an integrative approach to his practice, with experience in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic therapy, and EMDR. He has a warm and conversational style and a strengths-based view of those he supports, working to build capacity and increase insight rather than focus on deficit or disorder.
Mathew has completed intensive training with the Perinatal Training Centre and is engaged in ongoing clinical supervision in perinatal mental health, to ensure the best care to his clients.
Parents are welcome to bring babies and children along to sessions, with Mathew’s practice space having space and facilities to accommodate this.
