“Becoming a parent is unlike any other experience we have had before. Our journey into parenthood can be wonderful and full of love and joy, but it can also be very challenging and having mixed emotions is a very natural aspect of becoming a parent.”

Yoko is a clinical psychologist and a mother of three young children. Her experience is in working with families from various cultural backgrounds and walks of life – from babyhood to adolescence, and into adulthood. She is heavily involved in local communities (parenting groups) and professional networks (midwives, physiotherapist and osteopath), aspiring to offer support for expectant parents and parents with infants and young children in their different aspects of well-being. She is passionate about providing a nurturing and accepting environment to explore unique ways to create loving and connected families.

Yoko has received workshop training in perinatal and infant mental health exploring effective ways to work with families during this special time.  Her therapeutic work incorporates attachment theory, psychodynamic works, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), as well as mindfulness based techniques.
